Whether you’re flying the dream or dreaming of flying it, here’s the first turbine design for FL005. Like I said, part of the purpose in opening this shop was getting away from the ubiquitous helicopter-silhouette T-shirt design, but I sometimes suffer from a lack of creativity. Any ideas that you’d like to see, lemme know. Here are the EC-145 designs in red, neon dark, neon light, and fan club. Once the custom designer comes on-line you’ll have more options for customizing this design.

FL005-Branded Designs

Thanks for helping to get the word out about FL005 and WikiRFM. Right now, all of the shirts featured here have the old FL005 logo on the front or sleeve. The added cost of this 3-color logo was part of why I migrated to the logo you see at the top of the page now. In early November, I’ll be placing the new logo on all the FL005-branded shirts. I think these are kinda cool logos (you can see them here and here), but maybe they should just be stand-alone designs. Or should they get kicked to the curb?

I Want More Options!

November 15th (or earlier) I’ll be launching the FL005 Custom Designer Shop. From there, you can customize just about everything. Want custom text on the shirt? You can do that. Want to design a cream and green R22 on a pink shirt? I hadn’t thought of that, but you can make it happen. Want to put the design on a long-sleeve shirt, hoodie, panties, messenger bag, or dog sweater? Go nuts!

For those of you CFIs who don’t live off the royalties of your T-shirt shop (I eat premium Ramen), you might be able to design a cheaper shirt. As soon as I can get it together, I will be offering discounts for anybody who registers and contributes to my partner site, wikiRFM.CyclicAndCollective.net. If you can’t wait and you’re really into being an editor on WikiRFM, let me know what you want and I’ll see what I can do.

What Would NTSB Say?

Before you take off with/without/into, remember that the NTSB is going to be asking the question and ultimately coming up with the answer. And “Pilot Error” is the epitaph for too many pilots. Your choice of dark or light designs, or a plain light design that works with many colors. Once the custom designer is on-line you’ll be able to tweak these all you want. Flight schools or organizations that want to promote this safety message on their branded apparel, contact me and we can make something happen.

R22 180 Dark

Who doesn’t love doing 180 autos from 500 AGL in an R22? This design is best for dark-colored shirts, and I’ll be posting more helicopter color-schemes soon!
