Yeah, even if your helicopter is equipped with an attitude indicator, it’s not a good sign when it looks like that. Inadvertent IMC is one of the top 3 ways helicopter pilots end up dead, and it’s totally unnecessary since we can land virtually anywhere. It’s better asking what your chief pilot would say (hopefully it’d be “good call”) rather than bringing in the NTSB. Right now this design is only available in white, but dark variations are coming soon. And once the custom designer is on-line you’ll be able to tweak these all you want. For godsakes, it’s a helicopter. Unless you’re flying over the Everglades, there’s a good place to land. And do you really want to take the chance that the place that you have to autorotate to is going to be better than a place of your choosing?
